NZCF National Interschools Finals 2024
NZCF National Interschools Finals 2024 concludes the official annual interschool chess competition by the New Zealand Chess Federation. The NZCF National Interschools Chess Finals is held over two days on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September 2024 at Wellington College, Wellington.

Entry Fees
$80 per team.
Entry Instructions
All participating school teams must qualify through regional qualifying tournaments or be granted a “wild card” by NZCF.

New Zealand chess players who participate in more than one NZCF rated event in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $15.

Travel Arrangements
Format
The event comprises three sections/divisions:
- Primary (years 1-6 students).
- Intermediate (years 7-8 students).
- Secondary (years 9-13 students).
Each section will be run as a Team Swiss with 7 rounds.
Time Controls
The time control will be 25 minutes plus 5 seconds increment per move using digital chess clocks.
