Latvian Rapid 2024 comprises four separate 6 round rapid chess tournaments held on Saturday 16th March 2024 at Te Tuhi Centre of the Arts, Pakuranga, Auckland.

New Zealand chess players who participate in more than one NZCF rated event in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $15.

Travel Arrangements
Eligibility
Open to all players.
Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.
Format
Four 6 round Swiss tournaments, NZCF & FIDE Rapid rated where possible.
- A Grade, (1800 and above)
- B Grade, (1500-1799)
- C Grade, (Below 1500)
- D Grade, (Below 1200)
Time Controls
25 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.
