Summit Rapid April 2026 comprise three rapid chess swiss system tournaments of 6 rounds each. The tournaments are organised as an Open division, an Under 1600 division that is restricted to players with FIDE Rapid rating Under 1600, and an Under 1600 division that is restricted to players under 16 years old with NZCF Rapid rating under 1000.

Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.

NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.

Under 1600 division is restricted to players with FIDE Rapid rating Under 1600.

Under 1000 division that is restricted to players under 16 years old with NZCF Rapid rating under 1000.

Format

Summit Monthly Rapids 2026 comprise three 6 round Swiss tournaments.

Open division may be NZCF and FIDE Rapid rated.

Under 1600 division may be NZCF and FIDE Rapid rated, restricted to players with FIDE Rapid rating under 1600.

Under 1000 division may be NZCF Rapid rated, restricted to players with NZCF Rapid rating under 1000 and under 16 years old.

15 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.
