Entry Instructions
No entries accepted after 9am Friday 25th November 2022 or when full.
Only first 80 fully paid player entries accepted due to space constraints.
Club account for payment: 12-3008-0301266-00 (state name & Spring A or B or C as appropriate).

New Zealand chess players who participate in 2 or more NZCF rated events in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $10.

Eligibility
Open to all players.
Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.
Format
Three separate 6 round Swiss tournaments, NZCF & FIDE rated where possible.
- A grade restricted to players FIDE rated 1800 or higher.
- B grade restricted to players FIDE rated under 1800. (tournament merged with A grade)
- C grade restricted to playres FIDE rated under 1500.
Juniors rated under 1800 may join the A grade, subject to approval from the Organiser.
Time Controls
25 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.

COVID-19 Policy
The Chief Arbiter reserves the right to exclude players who are visibly unwell (entry fees will be returned)
Masks that cover the nose and mouth must be worn by everyone in the playing venue (no exemptions).
The FIDE requirement to shake hands will not be enforced.
