COVID-19 Policy
COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Lights) for Auckland must be at Orange or Green for this event to proceed. Vaccine Pass REQUIRED.
Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, no decision has been made on when Auckland Chess Centre will reopen in 2022. Neither has any decision been made on what measures will be in place.
It is envisaged that as a minimum, access to Auckland Chess Centre (grounds and buildings) will be restricted to only those with NZ My Vaccine Pass. This applies to all people visiting Auckland Chess Centre. Entry is prohibited to everyone who is not fully vaccinated, including but not limited to those who are too young to be vaccinated or otherwise exempted.
Decisions need to account for the safety and well being of those who reside at Auckland Chess Centre. We need to be more cautious in our COVID-19 decision making since these residents will be the ones who have to live with the consequences that are imposed on them due to reopening.

$50 per player.

Only first 50 fully paid player entries accepted due to space constraints.

Eligibility
Open to all players.
Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.
Only first 50 fully paid player entries accepted due to space constraints.
Format
6 round Swiss tournament, NZCF & FIDE rated where possible.
Time Controls
90 minutes each player plus 30 seconds increment per move from move one.

- No player may claim more than one prize.
- In the event of a tie, prize money will be shared.
