Summit Rapid Championships 2023 incorporates the North Island Rapid Chess Championships 2023. Held Sunday 12th November 2023 at Tasman Room, Alexandra Park, Auckland. There is a minimum guaranteed prize fund of $1500.

Summit Chess Club account for payment: 06-0185-0870124-00 (state name & tournament choice).
Use online entry form to enter.
New Zealand chess players who participate in more than one NZCF rated event in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $15.

Travel Arrangements
Eligibility
Open to all players.
Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.
Players from out of the North Island are welcome to take part and eligible for prizes but not the North Island rapid championship titles.
Format
Three separate 6 round Swiss tournaments, NZCF & FIDE Rapid rated where possible.
Junior tournament may increase to 7 rounds if more than 64 players registered.
Time Controls
25 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.
