Olympiad 2022 Fundraiser Rapid
Olympiad 2022 Fundraiser Rapid would be held on Sunday 10th July 2022 in Howick. Funds are raised for the NZCF 2022 Chennai Olympiad travel fund to assist with the New Zealand teams expenses. The venue of the Olympiad 2022 Fundraiser Rapid is the New Howick Chess Centre that is upstairs in the “Golden Sheaf Bakery” building, down the driveway adjacent to the Howick & Pakuranga Times Office.

Entry Fees
$30 per player.
Of which $20 per player will be donated to the NZCF 2022 Chennai Olympiad travel fund to assist our teams expenses.

Only first 20 fully paid player entries accepted due to space constraints.

New Zealand chess players who participate in 2 or more NZCF rated events in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $10.

Upstairs in the “Golden Sheaf Bakery” building, down the driveway adjacent to the Howick & Pakuranga Times Office. Access via Fencible Drive or Moore St, through the carpark and to the left of the Poppies Bookstore.

Eligibility
Open to all players.
Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.
Only first 20 fully paid player entries accepted due to space constraints.
Format
6 round Swiss tournament, NZCF & FIDE rated where possible.
Time Controls
15 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.

In lieu of cash prizes as this is a fundraising event, there will be Chess Books and DGT equipment given as prizes for at least the top 3 players.
