$20 per player.

Deadline for payments is the Friday before the event.

New Zealand chess players who participate in more than one NZCF rated event in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $15.

Travel Arrangements

Eligibility

Players must be under 18 years old and be at least one of the following:

  • Member of the Sky Dragon Chess Club.
  • Member of Auckland Chess Centre/Junior Club.
  • Students of I Love Chess.
  • Invited players.

Format

6 round Swiss tournament, NZCF rated where possible.

Time Controls

15 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.

Round 6 1.15pm

Prizegiving starts as soon as possible afterround 6. The event should be finishing at approximately 1.50pm.

Chess book prizes for:

  • Open 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
  • 1st in Grade under800, under500, under200.
