Auckland Rapid 14June 2026
Auckland Chess Centre Rapid 14th June 2026 is a single day 6 round rapid chess tournament that is open to all players. Games are played using the normal New Zealand rapid time control of 25 minutes plus 5 seconds increment per move. Making this event ideal for players who wish to play more games under such a time control to prepare for higher level rapid tournaments or the New Zealand Interschools National Finals.

Entry Fees
$30 per player.
Entry Instructions
No entries accepted after 9am 14th June 2026 or when full.
Only first 50 fully paid player entries accepted due to space constraints.
All entries must be made online through TryBooking or through using the form below. Multiple players may be entered in the same booking, simply select number of players (tickets).
Name of player entered would be listed in Vega Results. Link also available in Results section of this webpage.

Open to all players.

6 round unrated Swiss tournament.
Time Controls
25 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.

No prize giving ceremony would be held. Players may leave after their last game is completed. Prizes would be paid to prize winners bank account online.
Prize Fund
The greater of $300 or half of entry fees would be paid out as prizes. Prize distribution to be determined on the first day of the tournament.
PLEASE NOTE:
- No player may claim more than one prize.
- In the event of a tie, prize money will be shared.
Players eligible for Open,or Grade Prize(s), would receive the highest monetary value prize.
