ACC Chess Festival 2026 comprise separate Blitz, Rapid and Classical tournaments that are held at Auckland Chess Centre (ACC) from 2nd to 11th January. You may join ACC and participate in the inaugural ACC Chess Festival 2026.

Entry Details

Entry Restrictions

Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.

NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.

Participation is restricted to ACC members and invited players only.

Only first 70 player entries per tournament accepted due to space constraints.

  1. ACC Closed Blitz 2026, 9am Friday 2nd January 2026.
  2. ACC Closed Rapid 2026, 1pm Friday 2nd January 2026.
  3. ACC Closed Classic 2026, 1pm Saturday 3rd January 2026.

Entries are to be made online through TryBooking or through using the form below. Multiple players may be entered in the same booking, simply select number of players (tickets).

Name of player entered would be listed in Vega Results. Link also available in Results section of this webpage.

Please contact us if name is not listed more than a day after submission.

New Zealand chess players who participate in more than one NZCF rated event in a year must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $15.

9.30am to 12.30pm 2nd Janaury 2026.
FIDE Blitz rated where possible.
ACC Closed Rapid 2026 7 Round Swiss.
2pm 2nd to 1pm 3rd January 2026.
FIDE and NZCF Rapid rated where possible.
ACC Closed Classic 2026 9 Round Swiss.
2pm start daily from 3rd to 11th January 2026.
FIDE and NZCF Standard rated where possible.
