New Zealand chess players who participate in any NZCF rated event must be a member of a chess club that is affiliated or associated with NZCF (New Zealand Chess Federation). The Mount Maunganui RSA Chess Club offers memberships that fulfill this requirement from just $20 per year.

Travel Arrangements
Eligibility
Open to all female players.
Non-NZL players must have FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
NZL players without FIDE ID must provide full Date of Birth.
Format
6 round Swiss tournament, NZCF & FIDE rated where possible.
Time Controls
90 minutes each player plus 30 seconds increment per move from move one.
Half Point Bye
Half point bye available in Round 1 only. Please inform the organiser at the time of registration.

Players who have not checked in by Players Meeting at 6:15pm may not be paired for round one. Players should check in by arriving at the venue before 6:15pm where possible or send a text message to the Arbiter Lahiru 022 650 3547 by 6:15pm.

The highest-placed New Zealand player shall be the 2026 New Zealand Women’s Chess Champion.
The outright winner (if applicable) will be offered the official NZL place at the Oceania Women’s Zonal in Christchurch in January 2027 (must be an NZL FIDE registered player).
